When the time came to design his next disc, Ken Climo's vision for the 6th mold in the Climo Disc Golf lineup was simple. He was looking for the following:

  • A slightly faster mid range to pair with the Belleair
  • Torque resistant, but not too overstable
  • Excellent glide
  • A slight dome

    This 6-speed midrange is exactly what The Champ envisioned. Named as a nod to the beautiful Florida Coast of Climo's hometown, the Coast is the perfect name for this glide filled midrange.

    The Coast is a midrange that perfectly bridges the gap between the speed 5 Belleair and speed 7 Streak. It doesn't take a lot of power to get the Coast coasting down the fairway. With that little extra bit of speed combined with excellent glide, the Coast might just have you questioning if it is a fairway driver.     Ken Climo, also known as The Champ, has been playing disc golf and frisbee (catch) at Cliff Stephens park in his hometown of Clearwater, FL since he was a kid. Climo estimates that before the course was installed in 1986 that he had already logged thousands of throws in the park. From those childhood days, through his entire career and to this very day, Cliff Stephens has been the "Home of the Champ".

    The Cliff is the newest putter in the Climo Disc Golf lineup. It is the beadless counterpart to the Champ. The Cliff offers a straighter flight than the Champ. Still with enough reliability to rip it, the Cliff handles power with ease. 

    The Climo Prototype Cliff is debuting in Swirled version of Trophy Line plastic. Trophy Line plastic is a baseline blend that has a middle-of-the-road stiffness. Not too stiff, not too soft, but just right – just the way “The Champ” likes it.
