Simon recently released a Vlog on his YouTube channel revealing that we've been deep in the lab retooling our first 12-speed driver, the Time-Lapse. We've learned some incredibly valuable lessons over the course of the Time-Lapse's history (which you can read about in MVP Disc Sports Co-Founder Brad Richardson's Lab Report), and we've brought all of that experience to bear for the release of the new and improved retooled Neutron Time-Lapse! While many players found our overstable original run to be a great wind fighter, Simon and MVP had dreams of the Time-Lapse being a staple in everyone's bag as a workhorse max distance driver. Having made microscopic alterations to several aspects of the Time-Lapse, it now meets Simon and MVP's desired flight. As a result, we’ve updated the flight numbers to more accurately represent it, landing at 12 | 5 | -1 | 2. High-power players will enjoy the glide and flight-extending turn of the retooled Time-Lapse, while lower power players will find it to be a very usable go-to distance driver. The next disc in the Simon Line is primed for its stock release - the Neutron Balance! For those following the development process of this disc, you’ll know there have been three Prototypes released for the Balance, each with minor differences in stability. This allowed Simon to try multiple options and pick the version he prefers most (V2) to go into full production, while giving you all a peek behind the curtain of the process. Settling in with flight numbers of 5 | 5 | 0 | 2, the Balance falls between the MVP Reactor and Axiom Pyro - overstable enough for torque resistance, wind fighting, and a reliable, consistent flight - while still having the flexibility of a midrange for shot shaping. High power players will have a versatile, straight flier with a dependable bite of fade towards the end, while those with less power will find the perfect overstable wind fighting complement to their midrange lineup.
