A great all around bag for serious casual players

I’ve been disc golfing for the last 18+ years, and when I was looking at the $50 (DD Trooper and the like) bag for a switch to backpacks from over the shoulder bags, my significant other encouraged me to go for the whole package. After extensive research, I decided on the Commander bag as a full package without being exorbitantly priced (read $200+ for a glorified backpack.)

I have loved this bag. It has lots of good storage (plenty of room for sweatshirt, heavy leather gloves, snacks, beverages, and phone, walled, and extra socks. And of course discs!! If you aren’t carrying the extra “stuff” you can also fit 2 or maybe 3 discs in each side pocket. The one thing I will say is that I thought I’d LOVE the open top putter area, but I think I would prefer the ability to cover it without buying a full on rain fly.

Other than that one little item, I love my Commander bag, and recommend it to anyone looking for a mid to high end bag for serious (casual) disc golf, and the occasional (or frequent) tournament.
